AUG. 7: Advertising researcher Borrell Associates sees cable fetching 9.5% of political ad spending in the current election cycle, meaning close to $1 billion will flow the industry's way. That's double the amount from 2008, but still leaves a significant gap between share of viewing and share of ad spend. Still, cable moves ahead of radio in market share. CableFAX has the story here.
